Blue Funk is more commonly known as Blue Cheese, a marijuana strain that has won many admirers in recent years. It is a hybrid cross of 2 very well-known strains, Cheese and Blueberry. Cheese is a particularly aromatic and potent phenotype of Skunk #1 which was nurtured within the confines of a squatter collective near London in the early 1990s. It has since been crossed with an Afghani indica to increase yield and resin production. Blueberry is a wonderful strain containing genetics from Mexico, Thailand and Afghanistan.
The resulting Blue Funk is a strong plant which remains quite short and stocky producing extremely resinous buds in little over 8 weeks of flowering. Yields are very good at approximately 500 gr/m2 indoors and between 600 - 900 gr/plant outdoors for a September harvest. The smell is rather funky and the taste is an intriguing blend of cheese with fruity notes. THC production is very good at 20%. Being 90% indica the effect of this strain is very relaxing and pleasant, ideal for curling up on the sofa and listening to your favourite music or watching a favourite TV programme."
