Barney's Afghan Hash Plant originates from prime 1970s seed-stock that was supplied by the very best old, traditional hash-makers in the Mazar-i-Sharif region of Afghanistan. A few fun-filled years were spent selecting the strongest and tastiest pheno-types to provide the breeding line for this pure indica strain. As well as being a superb indica in its own right it has also been used to help create new barney's farm strains.
Afghan Hash Plant is a small to medium-sized plant growing to between 80 - 100 cm. tall. It thrives both indoors and outdoors and can be cultivated in a wide region due to its early maturation in the second half of September. Indoors flowering lasts for about 50 - 60 days. Each plant can yield around 700g of exceedingly dense buds literally dripping with resin.
The taste and scent are strongly of sandalwood/incense with citrus notes. Afghani strains are renowned for their potency and this is certainly no different in this respect. Its medicinal potential is said to be high and is likely to provide relief from pain.
